Youth Parliament 2.0 Activities by District
The NYA aims to establish Youth Parliaments in each of Ghana’s 261 metropolitan, municipal, and district assemblies (MMDAs). As of January 2024, 169 MMDA-based Youth Parliaments had been established and operationalized with varying levels of activity.
To date, the SOCO project has supported 32 existing Youth Parliaments, including 25 that are still considered active. The Youth Parliament 2.0 concept will first be piloted in 2024 in three (3) SOCO districts and by the end of 2025 will be scaled and institutionalized in the remaining 45 districts.
